Chief Offsider wanted

Think you've got what it takes to work behind the scenes with the All Blacks?

As official recruitment supporters of New Zealand Rugby we’re excited to announce that we’re working with the All Blacks to recruit an incredible role.

Robert Walters, in partnership with the All Blacks, are looking for a real impact player to work with the team, and the role of Chief Offsider has recently become available. The successful candidate will work alongside the best at the All Blacks warm up training on the 14th July 2023, the day before they take the field against the Springboks.

For any mad keen rugby fan, this is the job for you. You'll be able to witness and help the All Blacks prepare as they take on the current world champions.

Ever wanted to view the kickers technique up close, and be the one in charge of the balls they use? Or witness the team run drills, and keep them hydrated? Then apply today.

What is the Chief Offsider's role?

Essentially, the aim of the role is to ensure that the training runs smoothly, and that the team has everything they need on the day so they can focus on the ultimate goal; winning the test.

You'll get an exclusive behind the scenes peek into the All Blacks training environment as they carry out their final preparations for the match, so being able to keep your cool in high pressure environments and around your favourite players is a must.

You’ll also be working with an incredibly supportive team, especially during kicking practice, so you'll learn from the best. This is an exciting opportunity for a real team player who’s looking to take the next step.

As the role is located in Auckland, we'll be providing an all expenses paid trip for the weekend so you don't have to worry about anything except getting the job done.

Key Responsibilities during the training

  • On field support.
  • Perimeter signage installation.
  • Player hydration.
  • Ball logistics at kicking practice.
  • Flag and post protector distribution.
  • Plus loads of other cool stuff.

  • Must hold a current love for the game.
  • Able to put in a big shift.
  • Comfortable in a fast paced environment.
  • Can keep eyes on the ball.
  • Sense of humour essential.
  • Training and equipment will be provided.

Date: Friday 14th July 2023 - Saturday 15th 2023

Location: Mt Smart Stadium, Auckland.

Salary:
This is a volunteer gig, but you'll have some epic selfies to share with your mates.

We'll even shout you flights and accommodation to ensure you're on top form to do the job.
