This role is perfect for someone who thrives on making a positive impact through marketing initiatives, enjoys collaborating with teams, and is passionate about supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

What you'll do:

As a Marketing Advisor based in Wellington, you will immerse yourself in a variety of projects that span digital marketing, event coordination, content creation, and stakeholder engagement. Your day-to-day activities will involve close collaboration with colleagues from different departments to ensure seamless delivery of marketing campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences.

  • Assist in the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans that align with organisational goals and community needs.
  • Support campaign planning alongside the Marketing Lead as well as wider teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all platforms.
  • Manage social media content creation, including video and graphic assets, ensuring consistent brand voice and effective audience engagement.
  • Oversee website content updates, implement SEO strategies, and coordinate Google advertising efforts to maximise online presence.
  • Liaise with agency partners to manage paid social media strategies while providing insightful reports to senior management.
  • Create compelling communications for industry stakeholders and trainees, tailoring messages for maximum relevance and impact.
  • Develop promotional tools for products and services while assisting internal teams with survey design and other communication requirements.
  • Support the design, development, and delivery of brand promotion activities as well as co-branding initiatives with key partners.
  • Coordinate with the Events Manager on major events, gather post-event feedback, and represent the organisation at career fairs or industry gatherings when needed.
  • Track marketing data, analyse results for continuous improvement, write and proofread creative copy, and handle various administrative tasks as required.

What you bring:

To excel as a Marketing Advisor in this role, you will bring not only technical expertise but also interpersonal qualities that foster trust among colleagues and stakeholders. Your background should include hands-on experience developing integrated marketing campaigns from concept through execution—ideally within environments where community impact is valued.

  • Hold a tertiary qualification in marketing or a related field that demonstrates your foundational knowledge of core principles.
  • Bring at least three years’ experience in marketing or communications roles where you have contributed meaningfully to campaign planning and delivery.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of marketing principles along with proven ability to measure campaign effectiveness using relevant metrics.
  • Showcase excellent written communication skills adaptable across various platforms including social media channels.
  • Possess expertise in social media management—including content creation tailored for different audiences—and familiarity with analytics tools.
  • Display proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications essential for daily administration tasks within a busy team environment.
  • Exhibit strong organisational abilities coupled with keen attention to detail when juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Approach challenges with a solution-focused mindset while maintaining a friendly attitude that supports collaborative teamwork.
  • Feel comfortable representing the organisation at public events or industry working groups as needed by the team.

What sets this company apart:

This organisation stands out for its unwavering commitment to serving people first—placing community wellbeing at the heart of every initiative. Employees are encouraged to share ideas freely within an inclusive environment where everyone’s contribution is valued equally. The culture emphasises collaboration over competition; team members support one another’s growth through open communication channels and regular training opportunities. Flexible working arrangements allow you to balance professional ambitions with personal commitments without compromise. By joining this team, you become part of something bigger: an effort dedicated not just to business success but also lasting positive change throughout New Zealand’s communities. The workplace is known for its warmth—where kindness matters as much as competence—and where every project undertaken aims to uplift those it touches.
